PRISMATIC PATTERNED POLYGON
Cast acrylic sheet, Duct Tape 2019

Prismatic Polygon I is the first in a series of five works that analyze the different faceted surfaces of a single gem-shaped polygon. Built from layered laser-cut acrylic sheets, Walker’s geometric sculptures are focused studies of elemental line and saturated color, which work together to heighten the dimensionality of the form. When the sculpture is viewed from different perspectives, the angles and colors appear to shift, as if it were a three-dimensional object moving in space.
